Coaches :: Janka Corewyn

Janka Corewyn has been teaching and coaching swimming for over 20 years. She's been with Fastlane for the last 10.

Janka is an expert on stroke mechanics - these skills honed from her competitive background and years of teaching. J anka Corewyn was a national age group record holder and represented Canada at a number of international swim competitions in the US and Europe. She was a finalist at the 1976 Canadian Olympic trials.

She is passionate about swimming and loves to work with swimmers of all levels. Along with her full time Recreation Programmer position with the Vancouver Parks Board, Janka is also a sessional instructor at UBC for the Human Kinetics Department, swim coach with the Pacific Spirit Tri Club, and does video stroke clinics! Janka's daughter Natasha can often be found leading the Kits swim pack 2 mornings a week.
